Srinagar, Aug 16: National Conference (NC) General Secretary and Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Khanyar, Ali Muhammad Sagar, on Saturday paid obeisance at the revered shrine of Mehboob-ul-Alam, Sultan-ul-Arifeen Hazrat Syed Hamza Makhdoomi (RA).During his visit, Sagar prayed for lasting peace, unity, and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir. He interacted with the shrine management and stakeholders to take stock of the ongoing preparations for the upcoming Urs, the party said in a statement issued here.Emphasising the cultural and spiritual importance of the occasion, the MLA Khanyar reiterated the need for collective efforts to ensure smooth and well-organised Urs observances. He appreciated the shrine committee’s dedication and urged adequate arrangements to accommodate devotees expected to visit during the auspicious event.The visit concluded with Sagar expressing hope that such spiritual gatherings would continue to strengthen the social and religious fabric of the region, the statement added.
