Pulwama, Apr 09: The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has spent ₹18.72 crore on the scanning and digitization of revenue records across all its districts.
The information was revealed in the Legislative Assembly in response to an Unstarred Question raised by MLA Altaf Ahmad Wani.
According to the government’s statement, the Revenue Department of J&K has digitized land records in all districts.
It was revealed that M/s RamTech Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd. was contracted for scanning and geo-referencing cadastral maps in Jammu and Srinagar, while the remaining districts completed the work in-house using local revenue field staff.
According to the response a total of 6,839 Jamabandis and 6,522 revenue maps from 6,850 villages have been digitized so far.
The data has been uploaded to the Land Records Information System (LRIS) portal at landrecords.jk.gov.in, making it publicly accessible.
The government has also launched a suite of online services through platforms such as JK Revenue Plus and jkrevenue.nic.in, allowing citizens to access digital copies of key land records including Girdawari, Jamabandi, Mutation Records, and Latha/Masavi.
As per the response certificates such as RBA, ALC, and EWS are now available online through these portals.
The government also highlighted that the Change of Land Use (CLU) process has been made online via a single-window system on the JK Revenue Plus portal.
This service is covered under the J&K Public Services Guarantee Act, 2011.
