Srinagar, Feb 19: In a bid to enhance the road safety and responsible riding in Kashmir, Khyber Cement, in collaboration with the Traffic Department, has launched a large-scale helmet distribution campaign across Srinagar.
The initiative, inaugurated by SSP Traffic Muzaffar Shah, underscores the importance of protective gear and promotes greater awareness of traffic safety measures.
As part of its ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR), Khyber Cement distributed helmets to motorcyclists across the city, ensuring they have the necessary safety gear to reduce the risk of serious injuries. The initiative has been widely appreciated by both the local community and government officials, reinforcing the importance of preventative safety measures in reducing road accidents. Speaking about the campaign, Umar Tramboo, Director of Corporate and Strategy, Khyber Cement, emphasised the company’s long-standing commitment to community welfare and road safety.
“At Khyber Cement, we have always prioritised initiatives that contribute to the well-being of the people of J&K. Ensuring the safety of riders through this helmet distribution drive is part of our ongoing responsibility to the community. We are proud to collaborate with the Traffic Department in promoting safer roads for everyone.”
Over the years, Khyber Cement has actively supported initiatives addressing social, environmental, and safety concerns, playing a key role in the region’s development. This latest campaign not only reinforces the critical importance of wearing helmets but also highlights Khyber Cement’s unwavering dedication to creating a safer and more responsible riding culture in J&K. With this initiative, Khyber Cement continues to cement its reputation as a socially responsible organisation, committed to enhancing the safety, well-being, and overall progress of the region.
