Srinagar, May 04: The scrutiny of nomination papers for the Lok Sabha Elections in the Baramulla Parliamentary Constituency has concluded, with the Returning Officer, Minga Sherpa, validating 23 nominations.
According to official reports, out of 38 nomination documents examined, 23 were found valid, including submissions from two female candidates, who have been cleared to contest in the Lok Sabha Elections from the Baramulla PC.
During the scrutiny, 15 candidates’ nomination papers were declared invalid, leading to the rejection of their candidacies in line with Election Commission of India norms.
Candidates have until Monday, May 6th, at 3:00 p.m. to withdraw their nominations at the Returning Officer’s office.
