Republic Day 2025: Full dress rehearsal held at MA Stadium

JAMMU, JAN 24: The full dress rehearsal for the UT-level Republic Day-2025 celebrations was held today at M A Stadium, Jammu.
The parade featured contingents of both men and women from various forces, including the Army, BSF, CRPF, JKP, JKAP, IRP, SSB, NCC cadets, Bharat Scouts and Guides, ex-servicemen, J&K Forest Protection Force, UTDRF, JK Fire & Emergency Services, and school students.
Pipe and brass bands from BSF, JKP, JKAP, Army, and school students played tunes accompanying the march past.
Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, inspected the parade and took the salute at the impressive march past before hoisting the tricolor.
In addition to the parade, school children and artists from the J&K Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages presented a colorful cultural program that featured theme-based presentations. The Dare Devils of Jammu and Kashmir Police captivated the audience with their spectacular and thrilling performances.
The cultural performances highlighted national integration, unity in diversity, harmony, and the composite culture of Jammu and Kashmir UT. Patriotic songs, folk music, and dance were also part of the presentation.
Tableaux displayed themes celebrating the cultural diversity of J&K, as well as key initiatives such as the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, Swarnim Bharat Ki Virasat: Sahkar se Vikas, Fit India Movement, and the War Against Drugs. These highlighted the significant achievements of the government.
