Rangoli Competition conducted at GDC Ramgarh under SVEEP-2022

Samba, Oct 17: A Rangoli Competition was organized by IQAC and NSS Unit ‘Prabha’ of Govt. Degree College Ramgarh under Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) Campaign launched to aware people about the Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls-2022.
 The event was held under the guidance and Convenership of Prof.(Dr.) Satinder Kaur, Principal of the College.
The Principal encouraged the students to participate in the competition with enthusiasm and expressed her happiness over the creativity and talent exhibited by the students. She exhorted students to actively participate in such activities so that they can keep their competitive spirits high.
“The purpose of Rangoli is beyond decoration  but imagination and innovative ideas in Rangoli art have also been incorporated,” she added. She further said that the purpose of Education is not only to develop the required knowledge but to develop the capacity and mind set of creation. The Principal also appreciated the efforts put in by the organizing Committee for encouraging students to participate in such activities for awareness of voting rights.
The participants created beautiful Rangoli patterns on the theme Under SVEEP. Different colors were used by students to flaunt their artistic imagination. Team ‘C’ viz Jaswant, Ramandeep and Isha Stood first, while the second position was secured by Team ‘B’ comprising Mansi, Vanshika and Sarbjeet and Team ‘A’ consisting of Tamanna, Neha and Priya Stood third.
The event was judged by Prof. Seema Sharma, Prof. Risha Kumari and Dr. Ekta Rani. The other faculty members Dr. Anjali Bala, Dr. Uma Prasher and Dr. Varinder Kour were also present.
