Jammu, Dec 31: “Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary initiative Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra has emerged as a beacon of success, breaking the shackles of past inefficiencies in delivering Central government schemes,” Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K Executive Member Raman Suri said on Sunday.
He said it is for the first time that the Prime Minister is receiving direct feedback from both the administration and the common people.
Suri said that the success of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra serves as concrete evidence that citizens are now reaping real-time benefits of Union Government-sponsored key schemes, including Ayushman Bharat, Har Ghar Jal, digitization of land records, and the mission to create Open Defecation Free (ODF) villages, alongside various self-employment initiatives.
Underlining the meticulous feedback mechanism established by Prime Minister Modi, Suri emphasized its role in transparently showcasing the impact of schemes, such as the declaration of ODF Plus villages, increased access to tap water, and illuminated village homes. He particularly commended the digitization of land records, which has empowered the citizens to safeguard their interests and avoid becoming victim to ills like corruption.
Viksit Bharat Yatra, initiated by Prime Minister Modi in November 2023, is heralded as a transformative movement, enabling the government to gather vital information about the implementation status of flagship schemes across the nation. With ambitious plans to cover 2.60 lakh Gram Panchayats, and 4000 urban local bodies, and engage with approximately 2.50 crore citizens within the next month, the Yatra signifies a groundbreaking shift in governance.
“For the first time in independent India’s history, Prime Minister Modi is directly engaging with beneficiaries, transcending geographical barriers to understand the on-ground realities of the deserving citizens residing in remote areas,” the BJP leader said, “Success stories from Jammu and Kashmir, as well as other states, illustrate the tangible impact of Ayushman Bharat, with beneficiaries expressing gratitude for timely interventions and coverage of medical expenses through the Ayushman card.”
Beyond mere statistics, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra encapsulates transformation in the laughter of children with access to clean water, the pride of a farmer securing his land deed, and the hope in the eyes of a mother ensuring healthcare for her family, Suri said. He applauded the PM’s unwavering commitment to inclusive development, ensuring that no citizen is left behind. “Viksit Bharat is not just a promise; it is a journey marked by tangible improvements and countless lives being transformed,” he said.
