Kupwara, July 3: The President, District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (DCDRC) Kupwara, Peerzada Qousar Hussain, Thursday convened a meeting with officers of various line departments in his office chamber to discuss matters related to the Consumer Protection Act and ensure effective coordination.A statement issued here said that during the meeting, the President apprised the officers about the key provisions of the Consumer Protection Act and emphasized the need for cooperation with the Commission in handling consumer grievances. He directed the concerned officers to respond promptly to notices issued by the Commission and ensure that replies are submitted without delay.The President also cautioned that any failure to comply with the court directions or delay in response may compel the Commission to take coercive measures, which can be avoided through timely action and coordination. The meeting aimed to enhance awareness among the line departments and ensure smooth and effective redressal of consumer complaints in the district.
