In 2019, polling for the Lok Sabha was held for six seats in Jammu and Kashmir. BJP won three seats while the National Conference won the remaining three.

This is the first general election in Jammu and Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370

Through the passage of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019 in Parliament, Article 370, which gave special constitutional privileges to the erstwhile state, ceased to exist.
