Police facilitates Police Community Partnership Group meeting in Kulgam

Kulgam, Dec 06: In order to strengthen Police-Public relations, Police in Kulgam have facilitated a Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) Meeting at village Wanpora, Qaimoh. The meeting was chaired by Sr. Superintendent of Police Kulgam Sahil Sarangal besides, Addl. SP NHW Qazigund Mumtaz Ali Bhatti, Tehsildar Qaimoh, DySP PC Kulgam, SHO PS Qaimoh and other officers and officials were also present on the occasion.
The meeting was attended by the respectable citizens, religious preacher’s, members of Trade Federation Numberdars and Chowkidars of Wanpora, Tachloo, Shamsipora, Batpora, Redwani Payeen, Hawoora, Qaimoh, Khudwani and other adjacent areas.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Kulgam said that such meetings are conducted to solicit the suggestions and support of people for better Policing and would be conducted in future as well.
He also thanked the people for participating in the meeting and providing valuable suggestions. Referring to the issues highlighted by the participants, SSP Kulgam assured that these issues will be taken up with the concerned authorities for immediate redressal and added that J&K Police will provide its legal support as and when required for the betterment of the society.
The participants were stressed to cooperate with Police in maintaining law and order and in identifying anti-national and anti-social elements so that curative steps will be taken accordingly and peaceful and drug free environment will be created for our youth/next generations.
Further SSP Kulgam also assured the participants that strict action against drug peddlers and those involved in anti-national activities will be continued in its full pace as per the Law. He asked parents to check the cell phones of their wards regularly so that their activities on social media will be checked at right time before indulging in any kind of adverse activity.
