Handwara, Mar 23: As part of its ongoing efforts to clamp down on anti-national elements, Handwara Police conducted a search at the residence of a member of the Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) for his continued association with a banned organization.
A police spokesperson confirmed that, acting on reliable information, a team of officers raided the house of Farooq Ahmad Dar, son of Mohd Shaban Dar, a resident of Turpora, Handwara, late this evening. The search was carried out in connection with Case FIR No. 08/2024 registered at Police Station Handwara.
“During the search, incriminating material was recovered, which has been seized and added to the investigation. Further raids are expected as the investigation progresses,” the spokesperson said.
The police reiterated their commitment to ensuring peace and security in the region, emphasising that they will continue to take strict action against individuals involved in unlawful activities.
