Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested drug peddler in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district and recovered contraband substances from his possession.
A Police spokesperson said that a police party of Police Station Pattan headed by SHO PS Pattan at a checkpoint established at Shirpora Pattan, intercepted a person who was carrying a bag on his shoulder. During search, 12 Kgs of Bhung Patri like contraband substance was recovered from his possession. He was identified as Gh Mohiuddin Ganie son of Late Ab Raheem resident of Shirpora Pattan. He has been arrested and shifted to PS Pattan where he remain in custody.
Accordingly, case under relevant sections of law have been registered at police Station Pattan & investigations have been initiated.
