AIKS extends full support, resolves to support Trust in its endeavours
Jammu, Dec 26: Prem Nath Bhat Memorial Trust (PNBMT) will observe the martyrdom of Pt. Prem Nath Bhat, a renowned lawyer, social activist, and writer, as “Chetna Diwas” on Friday.
The event honors his contributions as a symbol of communal harmony and his prophetic writings warning of the turmoil in Kashmir.
The All-India Kashmiri Samaj (AIKS), during its core committee meeting held in New Delhi under the leadership of President Ravinder Pandita, resolved to actively participate in the observance of Chetna Diwas and to support PNBMT in its endeavours. The AIKS has also pledged its backing for PNBMT’s mission to enact a law for the protection of temples and shrines in Kashmir.
To emphasize its commitment, the AIKS President has directed its Jammu team—comprising members A K Raina, Dr. Usha Tikoo, Bharat Bhushan Bhat Gosani, Anuja Khushu and Vinod Fotedar—to attend the event in large numbers.
Furthermore, AIKS plans to convene a meeting with the PNBMT team in the coming days to strategize on collaborative efforts to advance the trust’s objectives. Key members of the AIKS core committee, including M K Pajan, Senior Vice President Vijay Kashkari, Vice Presidents Arun Shalia and Ramesh Kitchloo, and General Secretary Sunil Koul, were also present during the New Delhi meeting.
“Chetna Diwas” serves as a reminder of Pt. Prem Nath Bhat’s ideals of harmony and justice while rallying collective efforts for preserving the cultural and religious heritage of Kashmir.
