Jammu, May 31: Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi will address polling booth-level workers of the BJP of all the Parliamentary and Assembly constituencies of Jammu and Kashmir on June 23, the day that marks the ‘Balidan Diwas’ of the party ideologue Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.
This was informed on Wednesday by the J&K UT BJP President, Ravinder Raina during a press briefing held at the party office, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. Raina said, “The J&K UT BJP is going to start a month-long ‘Maha Jan Sampark’ Abhiyaan (mass communication/public outreach) from tomorrow across J&K”. This month-long programme will continue till June 30.
“The BJP workers and leaders will reach out to 10 lakh households during this month-long programme and make the people aware about the welfare and other schemes launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi led BJP government at the Centre during the last nine years,” Raina said.
Besides making the people aware of the various schemes of the Modi government, the BJP workers will also seek their support for PM Modi in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, he said.
The J&K UT BJP will also organise ‘Beneficiary Sammelans’ in all the ninety (90) assembly constituencies of J&K by reaching out to the beneficiaries of various welfare schemes of the Modi government launched in nine years since 2014.
We want to make the people aware of the various welfare schemes of the Modi government before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Raina said, adding tthat the BJP has chalked various programmes both at the assembly level as well as the Parliamentary constituency level
The party has planned rallies at the assembly segment level as well as the Parliamentary constituency level across J&K, meetings with intellectual people of society, meetings with other sections like SCs, STs etc, public rallies, nukkad meetings, door-2 campaigns, awareness programmes, etc during this month-long mass contact programme.
Apart from this Raina said, the BJP will organise programmes in all the 90 Assembly segments of J&K on June 21, the International Yoga Day.
Jugal Kishore Sharma (MP), former minister Devendra Manyal, BJP General Secretary, Yudhvir Sethi were also present on the occasion.
