  • Polls taking place In J&K without fear of terrorism

Jammu, Apr 12: Prime Minister NarendraModi launched a scathing attack on dynastic parties, accusing them of misleading the public regarding Article 370.
Addressing a massive rally at Modi Stadium in Udhampur District, PM Modi proclaimed the abrogation of Article 370 as the demolition of a barrier to peace and development in Jammu and Kashmir.
“For the sake of power, they had built a wall of 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. Due to your blessings, Modi demolished the wall of Article 370. I have also buried the debris of that wall in the ground. I challenge any political party in India, especially Congress, to announce that they will bring back Article 370,” the prime minister said, adding, this country won’t even look at them.”
He lambasted the National Conference (NC), PDP, and Congress, labeling them as parties that prioritized power over progress. “These parties used fear-mongering tactics, warning of chaos if Article 370 was revoked,:”Modi asserted, emphasizing the tranquility and development witnessed in the region since the constitutional change.
He also highlighted the newfound sense of security among the people of J&K, citing the absence of terrorism, stone-pelting, and cross-border firing as indicators of progress.
“Ask the women of J&K, Dalits, Valmikis, Paharis and others who were deprived of their constitutional rights since independence”, Modi said, adding, “all these people are now getting equal rights under constitution after abrogation of Article 370”.
The Prime Minister underscored the transformation in J&K, emphasizing the integration of the region with the rest of India. He recounted how mothers in the Kashmir valley once feared for their sons’ involvement in violence but now experience relief due to the prevailing peace.
In his address, Modi championed equal rights for all citizens of J&K, regardless of background, post-Article 370 abrogation. He portrayed the upcoming elections as a landmark event, free from the specterof terrorism and separatism, a testament to the positive changes in the region.
Modi also challenged the opposition parties including the Congress to announce that they will bring back Article 370.
“I challenge all the parties to announce that they will bring back Article 370,” Modi said, while adding, “the people of the country will give them (such parties) a befitting reply and will not see their face”.
The PM Modi said that abrogation of Article 370 completely connected/integrated people of J&K with rest of the country and ensured peace in J&K and paved way for all round development at much larger pace.
Dismissing the opposition’s claim that the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya was an election issue for the BJP, PM Modi said that the struggle for the Ram Mandir had been going on since the time BJP was not even born.
“These family-oriented parties are against development as well as against legacy. Congress says that Ram Mandir is an election issue for the BJP. Ram Mandir was not an election issue, nor is it and nor will it be. The struggle for Ram Mandir has been going on since the time BJP was not even born. The struggle for Ram Mandir is 500 years old when there was no trace of elections,” he said.
The Prime Minister said the leaders of Congress and its allies lived in big bunglows while Ram Lalla was in a tent.
“In 2014, I had returned after visiting Mata Vaishno Devi and on this very ground, I had guaranteed you that I will free you from whatever several generations of Jammu and Kashmir have suffered. Today, with your blessings, Modi has fulfilled that guarantee,” the Prime Minister said.
“This is the first election after decades, when terrorism, separatism, stone pelting, bandhs, strikes, cross-border firing are not election issues. Then whether it was the Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra or the AmarnathYatra, the concern was about how to conduct these in a safe manner. Today the situation has completely changed. Today, development is taking place in Jammu and Kashmir and confidence is also increasing,” he said.
“That is why today, from every nook and corner of Jammu and Kashmir, only one echo is being heard – EkbaarphirModiSarkar. (Modi Government once again).”
The Prime Minister was in Udhampur to support the campaign of Union Minister and BJP candidate Jitendra Singh who has been representing the constituency since 2014. Singh had defeated former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister GhulamNabi Azad from Udhampur in 2014.

Modi vows Vaishno Devi visit, Udhampur’skaladi taste post BJP win

Prime Minister NarendraModi expressed his remorse for not visiting Mata Vaishno Devi and vowed to rectify it, promising to taste the famous Kaladi of Udhampur and pay his respects at the shrine after the BJP secures victory in the 2024 LokSabha elections.
“I have come so near to MaaVaishno Devi (at Udhampur) but have not paid obeisance there,” Modi said, adding, “After BJP wins 2024 LokSabha Polls, I will pay obeisance at Mata Vaishno and also enjoy the taste of famous Kaladi of Udhampur,” PM Modi said, while addressing a huge rally at Modi Stadium Udhampur.
Amid chants of ‘Modi-2’ and ‘Jai Shri Ram’ by the enthusiastic people in the jam packed stadium, Modi asked the youth to visit each house/family and seek votes for BJP in the upcoming LokSabha elections.
Seek votes for BJP for a strong and decisive government for a stronger India and a peaceful and developed J&K, Modi asked the youth. “I will definitely visit J&K and taste and relishUdhampur’s culinary delights after the BJP’s triumph in the polls,” he said
