Srinagar, Feb 19: A delegation from the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Democratic Party (JKPDP), led by its General Secretary Gh Nabi Lone Hanjura, visited the residence of senior party leader Bashir Ahmad Mir to offer their condolences and sympathies to him and his family on the demise of Haji Ab Rehman Mir, Bashir Ahmad Mir’s father.
Expressing their sympathies, the delegation reminisced about the dedication and commitment of late Haji Ab Rehman Mir to Bashir Ahmad Mir’s political journey. They highlighted Haji Ab Rehman’s instrumental role in guiding his son, whose wisdom and devotion inspired not only Bashir Ahmad Mir but also other party workers in upholding the values and principles of the party in the area.
During the visit, a congregational prayer (Fatiha) was offered for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
Accompanying the delegation were District President Srinagar Ab Qayoom Bhat, District President Budgam Mohammad Yaseen, District President Ganderbal Zahoor Ahmad Rather, Senior Leader Ab Hameed Kosheen, and Arif Laigaroo.
Meanwhile, the J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) leaders paid a visit to the residences of the late Senior Party Leader Gh. Mohd Sheikh to express heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. Gh. Mohd Sheikh passed away last Friday after a brief illness.
JKPCC Senior Vice President and former MLC Gh. Nabi Monga, accompanied by Srinagar DCC President Imtiyaz Ahmad Khan, visited the Alochi Bagh residence of Late Gh. Mohd Sheikh. They conveyed heartfelt condolences to his family and relatives, expressing solidarity with them and praying for eternal peace for the departed soul.
During the visit, the leaders recalled the selfless services of the departed leader and termed his passing a great loss to the Congress and the people of his area. JKPCC Secretary Muzaffar Ahmad Shah and other leaders were also part of the delegation.
