PDP appoints Khurshid Alam as General Secretary

Srinagar, Dec 12: Jammu and Kashmir People’s Democratic Party on Thursday appointed Mohammad Khurshid Alam as its General Secretary.
“Alam, a former MLC, is renowned for his seasoned leadership and distinguished tenure as a prominent state-level employees’ union leader, where he played a pivotal role in safeguarding workers’ rights and addressing their concerns,” a statement issued here said.
In a move aimed at further bolstering its organisational framework, the PDP appointed Younginder Singh as the Coordinator for Urban and Rural Kuthua. Additionally, Adv Sheikh Javid Ahmed as District President for Anantnag, Romesh Verma for Rural Kuthua, Vishal Salgotra for Urban Kuthua, Surender Sharma for Reasi and Maheshwar-raj for Samba.
“These strategic appointments reflect the party’s dedication to reinforcing its leadership base and expanding its outreach across Jammu and Kashmir,” the statement said.
