Kishtwar, Aug 19: The sacred Pavitra Charri (Holy Mace) of Shree Chandi Mata today commenced its spiritual journey from Shri Gauri Shankar Mandir-Sarkoot after a night halt. The Holy Mace proceeded towards the revered shrine of Shree Chandi Mata at Machail Village in Block Paddar.A statement issued here said that in view of the cloudburst incident on August 14, the Holy Mace proceeded in a simple and solemn manner, with a few vehicles accompanying it amid tight security. The pilgrimage with the Holy Mace continues with unwavering devotion, following its traditional route and making scheduled halts at Atholi, Massu and Chasoti. The Pavitra Charri is expected to reach the sacred Machail Shrine on August 22, and will begin its return journey on August 24.
