Udhampur, Apr 24: Former legislator and Spokesperson BJP Ranbir Singh Pathania Monday underscored the need for early completion of JJM schemes throughout the length and breadth of district Udhampur.
While steering grievance redressal proceedings at BJP hqrs Udhampur, he said that schemes worth ten crores  are yet to be allotted by the administrative department while not even a shred of work has been done on spot.
In this respect other tendered schemes such as ones at Dalsar, Sullan and Katwalat which despite allotment the contractors have not started the work. He also pinpointed cases where the contractors have already overshot the specified time limits. “Work on JJM  needs to be carried out religiously by the department of Jal Shakti J&K”.
While interacting with a deputation, he called for immediate start of work on girls hostel Chowki. “Almost five years have elapsed by since the sanction of the Hostel. And not even scratch of work has been done over there”.
Another deputation from Dhirti Panthel called for immediate clearance of MGNREGA payments for the year 2017-18.
Pathania further called upon the department of PWD to uniformly distribute and segregate NABARD and PMGSY roads in the district.
While interacting with all deputations Pathania assured to take up the issues with the concerned agencies and authorities and ensure that people are able to live more freely and fairly.
He further said that grievance redressal is the bedrock of a responsive mechanism and in order to lessen the gap between the government processes and we the people BJP has devised a mechanism whereby senior leaders are made to sit at the party office and redress the public issues.
