‘Operation Sindoor’: BJP Ladakh launches ‘Tiranga Yatra’ in Leh

Leh, May 14: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Ladakh on Wednesday launched its nationwide ‘Tiranga Yatra’, with Leh hosting a special tribute rally titled Operation Sindoor, honouring the valour of the Indian Armed Forces.
The rally in Leh witnessed an enthusiastic turnout, as citizens waved the national flag and chanted patriotic slogans like “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Indian Army, Navy, Air Force Zindabad”. The event was marked by emotional tributes and a renewed pledge to support those who defend the nation’s borders.
The yatra holds deeper significance against the backdrop of the recently concluded “Operation Sindoor”, a precision military response carried out by the Indian Armed Forces on May 7. The operation targeted nine terrorist launchpads and infrastructure sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), from where attacks against India had been orchestrated.
The response came in the wake of the Pahalgam terrorist attack that claimed the lives of 25 Indian citizens and one Nepali national. The Indian government had vowed accountability, and “Operation Sindoor” was the fulfilment of that promise.
At the Leh rally, BJP leaders and participants reiterated their commitment to national unity and the safety of Indian citizens. Organisers said the Tiranga Yatra is not only a celebration of India’s indomitable spirit but also a gesture of gratitude towards the armed forces who embody courage and sacrifice.
