Srinagar, Oct 08: “People stand by us, recognising that only DPAP, under the leadership of Ghulam Nabi Azad, can bring about positive change in Jammu and Kashmir. We promise not to disappoint them,” said the former minister and Democratic Progressive Azad Party leader Taj Mohiuddin on Sunday.
Addressing the party workers’ programme here, Taj expressed DPAP’s “ambitious goal” of forming the government in Jammu and Kashmir independently. He emphasised the pivotal role of every party worker in mobilising mass support at the grassroots level.
Mohiuddin highlighted the growing acceptance of DPAP’s agenda and mission among the people, instilling confidence that the upcoming government would be led by their party.
During the event, senior party leader G M Saroori conveyed the collective dream of every resident in the Union Territory (UT) to witness the same rapid development witnessed during Azad’s tenure as chief minister. He said, “The golden era will return, and every face in Jammu and Kashmir will wear a smile once again.”
Provincial president Mohd Amin Bhatt emphasised the significance of DPAP’s grassroots cadre, saying the party’s strength lies in its dedicated supporters. He said that DPAP’s vast supporter base, under Azad’s guidance, would reshape the destiny of the UT.
The party’s general secretary Ab Majeed Wani praised Azad’s “competence, transparency, and dynamism”, citing his “transformative impact” on Jammu and Kashmir’s infrastructural and developmental landscape. Wani urged continued support from the workers, saying, “We need him back, and your support will make it possible.”
Prominent figures present at the occasion included Chief Spokesperson Salman Nizami, Provincial VP Haji Musadiq, Provincial Gen Secretary Shafiq Shabnam, Secretary Arif Maqbool, along with party members Sheikh Amir, District President Amir Bhatt, President KP wing Sanjay Dhar, Nazir Ahmed Sofia, G N Parwana, and others.
