Pulwama, Oct 13 : Jammu and Kashmir National Conference vice president and party’s nominated Chief Minister candidate, Omar Abdullah, held a key meeting with the Scientists and Teachers’ Association (SSTA) of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST-K) to discuss pressing issues related to agricultural education, research, and development.
The meeting aimed to foster stronger collaboration between the government and the agricultural education sector, with a focus on enhancing innovation, empowering educators and researchers, and addressing the challenges faced by the farming community.
During the discussion, Omar Abdullah emphasized the critical role of research and innovation in transforming the region’s agricultural landscape.

Prof. Javeed Ahmad Mugloo, President of the Scientists and Teachers’ Association, and his team raised concerns regarding research funding, faculty development, and the need for greater collaboration between SKUAST-K and the government.
