Nine Smart city projects under execution in Jammu

Jammu, March 07: There are presently nine (09) projects under Smart City Project which are under execution in Jammu, while 15 projects have been completed.
This was informed today by the government in response to a question by BJP MLA, Yudhvir Sethi, in the Assembly on Friday.
The main projects under execution in Jammu are namely, e-governance and Smart Offices, complete Street Development-Canal Road Talab Tillo, Liabrary-cum-Cafeteria at Mubarak Mandi, Tawi Rivetr Front Development Project, complete street development NW-1:Mubarak Mandi to Raghunath Bazar via Pacca Danga, Moti Bazar, 23 Junction improvement in Jammu City-2, Rejuvenation of Ponds and creation of amenities around river, water bodies, parks, pathways and public utilities etc.
The main projects completed under Smart City Project in Jammu, especially in Jammu East, are namely, Junction improvement in Jammu City-1, improvement of road from KC Chowk to Dogra Chowk, construction of Archives repository at Kala Kendra, garbage transfer station, upgradation of schools in Jammu city etc., the government informed.
The work on project, Conservation of Gummat Gate and Jogi Gate  has been completed by 90%, the work on Heritage Trail and site beautification has been completed by 98%.
Similarly, the government informed that 85% of work has been completed on e-governance and smart offices project. The work on modernization, improvement, upgradation including installation of HBAC, automated fire fighting system and additional /alternation has been completed by 95%.
