Samba, Nov 25: The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Jammu, will hold its awareness and outreach program Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0 on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 10:30 AM in the Conference Hall, DC Office, Samba. The event will be presided over by Rizwan Uddin, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-I (RPFC-I), RO Jammu, who will personally address grievances of workers, employers, and stakeholders in Samba, a border district.
This initiative aims to sensitize participants about social security provisions, address concerns, and create an information exchange platform. Topics to be covered include the Universal Account Number (UAN) activation process, filing grievances through EPFiGMS and other portals, digital services education, fraud prevention, and employee rights.
Subscribers, pensioners, establishments, employees’ representatives, and industrial chambers are urged to participate. District Nodal Officers, including Devinder Singh (EO/AO) and Mr. Harshit Pathak (EO/AO), will also address the gathering.
The event will emphasize EPFO initiatives like e-Nomination, online claim filing, KYC updates, and the Principal Employer Dashboard. A special Pension Help Desk will provide on-the-spot assistance for pension-related grievances. Employers will be sensitized about social security benefits and their responsibility to extend these to employees from their first day of work.
Key social security schemes, including the Employees’ Pension Scheme, 1995, and the Employees’ Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme, 1976 (offering insurance benefits up to ₹7 lakh), will also be discussed.
EPFO, Jammu, appeals to all stakeholders to participate actively and contribute suggestions to enhance service delivery.
