Jammu, Oct 17: Ranbir Singh Pathania, MLA Udhampur East on Thursday inaugurated the macadamisation of the vital road connecting Nakki to Amara in Tehsil Majalta.
During the inauguration ceremony, Pathania emphasised the transformative power of good road infrastructure, saying, “This isn’t just about laying asphalt; it’s about connecting people, facilitating trade, and enhancing access to essential services. This road will not only ease transportation but will also open new avenues for economic growth and community welfare.”
He highlighted the urgent need for several other road projects in the region, calling for the immediate start of work on the Thial Chountra Mata road and the swift issuance of pothole programs for the Poona to Katheel to Jansal road.
The MLA stressed the need for timely completion of the Peoni to Tajoor road and the Balpur to Babey road, along with an early start on the Kamdana to Panjian road. He underscored the importance of constructing the missing link between the Manwal-Pinger and Bainsta-Pinger roads to improve connectivity within the region.
Following the inauguration, Pathania convened a high-level review meeting with senior officials from the Public Works Department (PWD), Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), and the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department. The meeting aimed to assess the progress of various ongoing projects, address challenges related to project implementation and ensure timely completion of key infrastructure initiatives.
Senior officers from the PWD, PMGSY, and PHE departments were present at the meeting. They provided comprehensive updates on their respective projects and engaged in strategic discussions to expedite work.
The MLA emphasised the critical importance of collaboration among departments to achieve developmental goals. He remarked, “Our collective efforts will pave the way for a prosperous future. Let us work together to ensure that these projects not only meet deadlines but also serve the needs of our community effectively.”
