MLA Mian Mehar Ali Vows to Strengthen Sports Infrastructure in Kangan

‘Working tirelessly to engage youth in sports across the constituency’

Ganderbal, June 29: MLA Kangan, Mian Mehar Ali, on Sunday said that concrete efforts are underway to improve and expand the sports infrastructure in the Kangan constituency of Ganderbal district.

Speaking to reporters after attending the final match between Eleven Friends Cricket Club Kangan and Foodie Fusion at the Sheikh-ul-Alam Sports Stadium, the MLA stated, “We are working tirelessly to engage youth in sports and promote healthy activities across the constituency. Very soon, Kangan will receive more good news related to sports development.”Mian Mehar Ali further revealed that the District Development Council (DDC) Kangan has already been approached regarding new sports projects. “We are trying our best to engage youth in sports activities and provide them with proper platforms. I have personally spoken to the DDC about accelerating infrastructure initiatives,” he said.The cricket final witnessed a vibrant atmosphere as Eleven Friends Cricket Club Kangan emerged victorious over Foodie Fusion. Both MLA Mian Mehar Ali and DDC Kangan, Tasmeena Adil Kapra, attended the event as chief guests, encouraging the players with their presence and supportive words.

Sports kits were distributed among the participating teams, and both dignitaries congratulated the winners and lauded the spirit of sportsmanship displayed throughout the match.Emphasising the importance of youth development, the MLA urged young people to focus on education, reading, writing and constructive pursuits like sports, while staying away from harmful activities such as drug abuse. “We will stand with our youth and support them in all their sports-related endeavours,” he said. The event concluded with loud cheers from the audience, reflecting the growing enthusiasm for sports in the region.
