Srinagar, Mar 18: The ongoing 71st B.N Mullik Memorial All India Police Football Championship on Saturday witnessed a thrilling day of football, with four Men’s teams securing their place in the semi-finals of the tournament, while the Women’s championship reached its final stage.
At Bakshi Stadium, the Women’s semi-final matches were played between SSB Vs Odisha and Assam Rifles Vs CRPF, with SSB and Assam Rifles emerging as the winners, respectively. The Women’s championship final will take place tomorrow, March 19th, between Assam Rifles and SSB at Synthetic Turf Ground, with ADGP Kashmir as the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Meanwhile, at Synthetic Turf Ground, the Men’s quarter-final matches were played between Assam Rifles Vs CRPF and CISF Vs Kerala Police, with Assam Rifles and Kerala Police emerging as the winners, respectively. At Kashmir University, the quarter-final matches were played between Punjab Police Vs Rajasthan Police and Mizoram Police Vs BSF, with Punjab Police and Mizoram Police emerging as the winners, respectively.
The semi-finals are set to take place tomorrow, March 19th, and promise to be just as exciting, with the four teams that have made it through sure to put on a great show for their fans.
