MLA Budhal visits land sinking affected village Panjnara

Rajouri, Aug 17: Member Legislative Assembly Budhal, Javed Iqbal Choudhary today visited village Panjnara, where several houses were damaged due to land sinking. Acting promptly on receiving information, the District Administration Rajouri evacuated affected families to safer locations, thereby preventing loss of life.According to a statement issued here, the MLA assessed the situation on ground. The Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma deputed officials from the concerned departments to conduct a comprehensive review of the damage and plan remedial measures.He assured the affected families that they would be rehabilitated and full support would be extended by the administration during this difficult time.The MLA complimented the Deputy Commissioner and his team for prompt response during crises. He said, “From the Budhal episode to Operation Sindoor and now in Panjnara, the administration has always been at the forefront, working tirelessly for the safety and wellbeing of the citizens.”The visiting team of officers included Additional Deputy Commissioner Koteranka, Dil Mir Choudhary; DSEO, Sandeep Sharma (Nodal Officer for Rehabilitation); Tehsildar Koteranka, Sahil Ali; Dy.SP Sharafat Choudhary; Executive Engineer Flood Control; Divisional Forest Officer; District Mineral Officer; Social Forestry officials; Ashfaq Choudhary, AEE PHE; Naim Naik, Range Officer; along with other field officials from the Revenue, RDD and CAPD departments.The District Administration reaffirmed its commitment to take all necessary steps on priority to ensure relief, rehabilitation and long-term safety of the affected families.
