Bandipora, Aug 1: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Bandipora Nizamuddin Bhat’s persistent efforts have led to a significant administrative breakthrough as the district has secured approval for a separate Jammu and Kashmir Bank cluster.Welcoming the development, Bhat, in a statement issued here, expressed sincere gratitude to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo and the Chairman of J&K Bank for their swift response to the long-pending demand.”This decision will go a long way in easing the financial hardships of our people,” Bhat said. “I am deeply thankful to the Hon’ble CM, the Chief Secretary and the JK Bank Chairman for understanding the urgency and acting in the interest of Bandipora’s residents.”The creation of a dedicated banking cluster is expected to significantly improve access to financial services in the region. Residents will no longer have to travel long distances for routine banking needs, and the new zone is anticipated to boost economic prospects for local youth and entrepreneurs by facilitating smoother financial transactions and support.This development marks a step forward in decentralising financial infrastructure and promoting inclusive growth across the district, the statement said.
