Srinagar, Mar 08: Anjuman Auqaf Jamia Masjid on Saturday announced that the first phase of the Jamia Masjid lights illumination project has been successfully completed during the blessed month of Ramadan.
The project aims to enhance the spiritual atmosphere of the historic mosque and provide a serene environment for the countless worshippers who visit the mosque year round, the Auqaf said in a statement issued here.
The project was inaugurated when Mirwaiz Umar Farooq switched on the lights after Maghrib prayers on Friday in the presence of devotees.
Anjuman extended heartfelt gratitude to all contributors and staff members whose support made this endeavour possible. “May this illumination reinforce the enduring faith and devotion of the people of Kashmir to Allah and inspire further efforts in his service,” the Auqaf said.
