Anantnag, Dec 23: In a horrible incident, a mentally ill person Friday killed his mother and two others in the Aishmuqam area of Anantnag district.
Syed Naseer, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Aishmuqam, told Rising Kashmir, three people have died in the unfortunate incident and six others have suffered injuries.
The official identified the accused as Javaid Ahmad from Diyaroo Aishmuqam.
According to witnesses, the attacker assaulted a group of people including his mother.
According to Mohd Iqbal, Medical Superintendent of GMC Anantnag, the deceased have been identified as Hafeeza, Ghulam Nabi and Mohmmad Amin.
He said seven injured people were brought to the sub-district hospital, and most of them had head injuries.
Police has arrested the attacker soon after the incident came to light.”
Meanwhile Deputy Commissioner Anantnag visited the area and offered the condolences and expressed sympathy with the bereaved families.
The DC also offered the immediate financial support to the bereaved families.
