Under the supervision and guidance of the worthy Principal, Dr.(Prof.) Ruby Reshi, GMC Baramulla is achieving new milestones every passing day. The hospital has seen unprecedented development and made major strides since its inception.
Major neck surgery was conducted by the department of ENT, GMC Baramulla, headed by Prof. Nazir Ahmad Khan. The surgery involved the removal of a cystic schwannoma, which is a type of nerve sheath tumour, in a 29-year-old patient. The surgery was performed by Dr Zafarullah Beigh, Assistant Professor, ENT, who successfully dissected the tumour completely without any complications. The tumour was found to be adherent to the IJV, which made the surgery even more challenging.
The head of the department of ENT appreciated Dr Fayaz Munshi, Associate Professor, Department of Anesthesia, and his team, as well as the entire OT staff, for their efforts and cooperation during the surgery. The successful outcome of the surgery was due to the dedication and expertise of the entire team.
