Srinagar, Jan 27: Under its Madadgaar Yojana, CRPF on Friday distributed sewing machines and carpentry tools among the beneficiaries in various parts of Kashmir.
In connection with 74th Republic Day celebrations, a special drive was launched by CRPF in which they distributed 74 sewing machines under the guidance of Sh. M.S. Bhatia, IGP KOS CRPF.
As part of this campaign, six selected families were given sewing machine and another family was given carpentry tools at a function organised by 164 Bn CRPF, Kokernag, Anantnag which was presided over by Kumar Navin, Commandant 164 Bn CRPF.
He said taht CRPF Madadgaar is seen as hope for thousands of distressed and empowering the society for self reliance and sustainability. The Function was attended by SDM & SDPO Kokernag besides unit officers.
Pertinent to mention that Madadgaar Yojna was officially launched on 16 June 2017 with the sole objective of extending our support to the needy people of Jammu and Kashmir.
