Srinagar, March 25: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has predicted a spell of light to moderate rain and snow in higher reaches of Kashmir from March 26-27.
According to the forecast, scattered places in North and Central Kashmir may experience light rain or snow on March 25. However, a more significant weather system is expected to affect the region from March 26-27, bringing light to moderate rain and snow to many places.
Travellers, tourists, and transporters are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and follow administrative and traffic advisories. Farmers are also advised to suspend farm operations on March 26-27.
The weather department has also warned of the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds at a few places during the same period.
After the spell of rain and snow, the weather is expected to improve gradually, with generally dry conditions predicted from March 28-31 and April 1-3.
