JAMMU, DEC 30: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha engaged with citizens in the “LG’s Mulaqaat” live public grievance hearing program at the Civil Secretariat, utilizing video conferencing. In his appraisal of grievances on JKIGRAMS, the LG directed officials to take effective, efficient, and speedy action on citizen concerns.
In addressing the citizens, the LG affirmed, “It is my solemn pledge to ensure sensitive and caring government machinery at all levels to enhance the overall well-being of the common man.” He highlighted the administration’s focus on timely service delivery, a transparent and accountable system, and preparedness for future governance challenges.
“We are ensuring citizens are heard, and the poorest of the poor enjoy the fruits of growth and get access to a life of dignity,” added the LG, underscoring the commitment to inclusive development.
The LG commended the exemplary participation of various segments of society, including youth, women, farmers, PRIs, and officials, in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
In response to specific grievances, the LG directed a comprehensive review of borewell performance and a report on teacher rationalization within 15 days. The LG also urged district administrations to identify and address areas lacking mobile connectivity for better communication services.
Rehana Batul, Secretary of Public Grievances, conducted the proceedings, with Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, Additional Chief Secretary R K Goyal, DGP R R Swain, and other officials present during the interaction, both in person and through virtual mode.
