Ladakh Taekwondo Association conducts trails for Kyorugi, Poomsae National Taekwondo Championship

Ladakh, Aug 31: The Ladakh Taekwondo Association conducted the final selection trials for the 39th Senior Nationals Kyorugi and 12th Poomsae National Taekwondo Championship SAI Centre Kargil on Thursday.
Around 25 players from different part of UT Ladakh took part in the trail and 10 players were selected in different categories.
The selection trials are being held in collaboration with Youth Services and Sports Department UT Ladakh and Sports Authority of India.
On this occasion Activities Officer Mohammad Yousuf was the Chief Guest, and Observer from YS&S Department UT Ladakh, Mohammad Ali Observer SAI, Vinod Gariwal Chief Technical Officer for the Camp and Mohammad Ibrahim ZEPO Kargil and Ghulam Mustafa incharge SAI were also present along with Anayat Ali Shotopa General Secretary LTA, Mohammad Ali Baghi Treasurer LTA.
The Whole Selection Process was conducted under the Technical Supervision of Vinod Gariwal along with centre referee by international player Tashi Tundup.
The overall trails were conducted under the supervision of Mohammad Yousuf Activities Officer who congratulated the Players for their selection for the national Championship and briefed about the various developments in sports activities in the newly created UT Ladakh.
While talking to Media Anayat Ali Shotopa Said that this for the first time the section trails of the Players are being conducted by the Observer of the Department and this will help in the easy movement of the players as well as shows the Positive approach of the Department for the upliftment of Sports in this newly created UT.
He further said that taekwondo has produced Dozen of International Players with a huge achievement at national and International Level and hoped that this will continue in future also.
President Ladakh Taekwondo Association Gulzar Hussain Munshi Congratulated the Selected Team for the Senior Nationals.
The Selected team will go for a week’s Camp at Jammu under the Chief Technical Advisor of Ladakh Taekwondo Association Master Atul Pangotra and will leave for Assam Ghuwahati for the nationals.
Later Mementoes were distributed among the guest and observers by LTA.
Selected Players include Zulfikhar Ali in under 54 Kg Category, in 58 Kg Iftiqar Ali, in 63 Category Feroz Ahmad, Sonam Chosphel in 58 Category in Boys Senior meanwhile, in Female Senior Assiya Banoo in 46 Category, Nasreen Fatima in 49 Category and Nazira Banoo in 53 kg Category.
In Poomsae Shanaz Parveen and Zeeshan Mehdi got selected in Pairs, and Shahnaz Parveen and Sonam Chosphel in Individual Poomsae Category.
