Srinagar, June 22: The Department of Management Studies (DMS), University of Kashmir organised a special lecture on “Unleashing Leadership Potential: Strategies for Success”.
The lecture was delivered by Prof Ritu Lehal, Former Head, School of Applied Management, Punjabi University, Patiala.
Prof Lehal is an eminent professor of management and specialises in leadership and organisational development. She has worked extensively for the upliftment of women.
The special lecture was aimed to inspire students to unlock their leadership potential and navigate the challenges of modern Business.
While welcoming the guest speaker, Prof. Bashir Ahmad Joo, Head, Department of Management Studies said the department is working tirelessly to nurture the next generation of business leaders, empowering them with skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in the ever-evolving global business landscape. He also provided an overview of activities for promotion of skills and talent of students pursuing management programme.
Prof Lehal presented an enlightening session wherein she emphasised on the importance of self-awareness, emotional intelligence and adaptability as key traits for leaders. She also offered an invaluable advice on nurturing leadership skills within organisations and also stressed on the significance of fostering a culture of trust, empowering teams and promoting inclusivity as critical factors for effective leadership.
The session was attended by the students and faculty of the department.
