The crucial Kishtwar to Paddar road was successfully reopened today following the clearance of a landslide at the Pathernaki Point of Nagseni.

Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav personally ensured the safety of the newly cleared road by test-driving his vehicle.

The previous day, the Deputy Commisioner Kishtwar visited the landslide affected area at Pathernaki Point, Nagseni, and oversaw the road clearance work throughout the day, accompanied by SDM Paddar Amit Kumar, DDC Paddar Hari Krishan Chouhan, Tehsildar Nagseni Rafie Naik, and project authorities.

The combined efforts of the District Administration, Police, GREF, and hydroelectric power projects have resulted in the successful reopening of the road at Pathernaki slide point by this morning.

The road for light vehicles has been restored, thereby re-establishing connectivity to the Paddar Sub Division.

Pilgrims and stranded individuals have now been able to cross, and essential commodities have been supplied to Padder.

Deputy Commissioner expressed his appreciation for the patience of people and the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders involved in this critical operation.
