Bandipora, Oct 17: In a vibrant celebration of Kashmir’s rich cultural heritage, the Kashur Fankaar music festival was held at S K Stadium, Bandipora, as part of the Bandipora Autumn Festival.
The event, organized by the Army in collaboration with Ali Sports Academy Bandipora, aimed to promote the district as a prominent tourist destination while providing a platform for local artists to showcase their talent.
The festival was presided over by the GOC Kilo Force, who expressed the significance of preserving Kashmir’s cultural heritage.
“The gathering here serves as an inspiration for the whole valley of Kashmir to preserve the cultural heritage of Kashmiri tradition. Talent should not be hidden, it must be expressed through such platforms,” he said.
Kashur Fankaar brought together aspiring musicians, prominent singers, and artists from across the valley. The event featured an impressive lineup of performances, ranging from traditional Kashmiri folk music to contemporary genres which captivated the audience with the diversity and versatility of the region’s artistic expressions.
The event also hosted masterclasses conducted by renowned musicians, offering young artists an opportunity to learn and refine their skills under expert guidance. In addition to musical performances, the scenic beauty of the Bandipora region served as a stunning backdrop which enhanced the cultural experience for attendees.
One of the highlights of the event was the final competition where budding singers vied for the top spot. The festival proved to be a remarkable platform for young talents to display their musical prowess and gain recognition on a larger stage.
The GOC Kilo Force extended his gratitude to all those involved in organizing the event and expressed optimism for the continued growth of Kashmir’s local artistic community.
He said that youth of Kashmir valley have potential and encouraged more platforms like Kashur Fankaar to nurture their abilities.
Locals in attendance celebrated the success of the festival and congratulated the winners and participants for their performances.
