JMC intensifies fogging drive

On the directions of Jammu Municipal Corporation Mayor, Rajinder Sharma, the Corporation has intensified fogging drives to control spread of Dengue in the City and contain the breeding of mosquitoes responsible for spread of the disease.

 

This morning a special drive was launched by the Mayor from M.A stadium to cover the areas where a high number of dengue cases has been reported. The areas covered in this drive are Rehari, Paloura,Janipur, Sarwal, Rajpura, Subashnagar, New Plot, Roopnagar, Talab Tillo, Bakshinagar, Muthi, Gandhinagar and Channi Himmat.

 

Deputy Mayor JMC, Baldev Singh Billawaria, Chairmen of all standing committees Raj Kumar, Hardeep Singh Mankotia, Ajay Gupta and officers of the JMC were also present on the occasion.

 

Further, as per the new daily roster, all JMC Wards are being covered and fogging drives will be done and in all wards in coming days in Coordination with the Anti Malaria Wing of Health Department Jammu.

 

The Mayor JMC stated that such drives shall continue in future also to completely eradicate Dengue from the City.

 

He issued directions to the health wing of JMC to put in place a sufficient number of men and machinery for conducting fogging in each and every area of the City.

 

The Mayor further appealed to all the inhabitants of Jammu city to avoid accumulation of water at their homes, empty water coolers, pots or any storage water and keep the surroundings neat and clean.
