JKPCC celebrates world ozone day

Srinagar, Sept 14: JKPCC Kashmir today celebrated World Ozone Day , under the theme : ‘Montreal Protocol: Advancing Climate Action ‘. The Event started at 10 A.M with a rally of students from different schools carrying placards with messages and slogans
to save the ozone layer. The rally was attended by Rd JKPCC Kashmir, Abhijeet Joshi, All The district officers of JKPCC Kashmir, all the employees of JKPCC , prominent industrialists of Kashmir regiion and teachers of educational institutions.
The rally was followed by the debate. Abhijit Joshi welcomed the distinguished guests including students, teachers, industrialists , media personalities and all the officials of JKPCC kashmir to make this programme successful.
In his inaugural address, RD JKPCC kashmir deliberated upon the importance & significance of this day for Preservation of Ozone layer and stressed that while global efforts have yielded positive impact of Montreal Protocol leading to ozone healing. India too has played a proactive role in phasing out production and consumption of Ozone Depleting Substances. He further said that depletion in ozone layer is a serious issue and needs to be taken care of at individual as well as Collective levels by creating and spreading awareness and adopting LIFE Mission (Life style for Environment).
Bilal Khan D.O Pulwama delivered an insightful speech on the chemical phenomenon that lead to ozone depletion and abt the
overall significance of OZONE layer.The students present on the occasion delivered emotional speech on the said subject.
During the event the presentation made by Dr Shabir , Scientist Cpcb on The importance of ozone layer was highly appreciated by the participants. During the event, Imran Murtaza, president industrial Association of Khonmoh and Sajad. Gen secretary Industrial Association Khonmoh Sgr also spoke on the occasion.
