Srinagar, Nov 13: The Jammu and Kashmir Football Association held the election of District Football Association (DFA) in various districts.
Election of DFA Bandipora was held on 12th of November 2022.
Revealing to Rising Kashmir an official said that six nominations were received, two each for President, Secretary and Treasurer respectively.
On perusal of the nomination forms by the election Committee, the nomination forms of three candidates were rejected and Irshad Ahmad Wani, Farooq Ahmad Rather and Mudasir Ahmad were elected as President, Secretary Treasurer of DFA Bandipora respectively.
Similarly, the election of DFA Kupwara and Handwara Zone were held on 10th of Nov 2022.
For DFA Kupwara six nomination were received two each for President, Secretary and Treasurer.
On scrutiny of the forms, by the election Committee three forms were rejected, however, Imtiyaz Malik, Malik Shahnawaz and Mubashir Jabar were elected for the President, Secretary, Treasurer for DFA Kupwara respectively.
For DFA Zone Handwara only three nomination forms were received for the posts of President, Secretary and Treasurer and since there was no contest Firdous Ahmad, Ubaid Ahmad and Naseer Ahmad were unanimously elected for President, Secretary, Treasurer for DFA Zone Handwara respectively.
“The Elections were conducted under the close supervision of Wasim Aslam Chairman, Prof. B,A Shah, Hony. General Secretary, and other Members of the election committee,” official added.
