JKBOSE 12th class results: Students from Kashmir secure first three positions in Arts, Medical, Home Science

Srinagar, June 10: Students from the Kashmir Division have secured the first three positions in the Arts, Medical, and Home Science streams after the JKBOSE on Friday announced the results of the 12th class annual regular examinations in the UTs of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
A total of 1,27,636 students were enrolled in J&K and Ladakh, out of which 82,441 students successfully qualified for the examinations. The total pass rate is 65 percent.
In the Medical stream, Shahid Bashir from Fayaz Educational Institute Nowgam Srinagar secured 1st position with 496 marks out of 500, which is 99.2 percent; Mustaqeem Afaq from Tyndale Biscoe Higher Secondary School Sheikhbagh Srinagar secured 2nd position with 495 marks (99 percent); and Haifa Sajad Mallinson Girls Higher Secondary School Sheikhbagh Srinagar got 3rd position with 494 marks (98.8 percent). 
The students from the private schools in the Kashmir Division have bagged the first three positions in the Medical stream. 
In the Arts stream, Mahveen Wani from the Government Girls Higher Secondary School Amira Kadal Srinagar secured 1st position by securing 495 marks (99 percent); Adaa Manzoor from the Government Girls Higher Secondary School Amira Kadal Srinagar secured 2nd position with 494 marks (98.8 percent); and the 3rd position has been secured by three students with 493 marks, which is 98.6 percent.  
In the Home Science stream, Isla from the Government Girls Higher Secondary School Baramulla secured 1st position with 491 marks (98.2 percent); Rubta Aijaz from the Government Girls Higher Secondary School Rainbagh Anantnag secured 2nd position with 487 marks; and Itifa Khursheed from the Government Girls Higher Secondary School Rainbagh Anantnag got 3rd position with 485 marks. The students from the government schools of the Kashmir Division have bagged all ten positions in the Home Science stream.  
In the Commerce stream, Irtiza Manzoor from the Government Girls Higher Secondary School Zadibal Srinagar secured 1st position by securing 491 marks out of 500 (98.2 percent); the second position has been secured by six students with 490 marks, which is 98 percent, in which three students are from the Kashmir Division and three from the Jammu Division. The 3rd position has been bagged by five students with 489, which is 97.8 percent. All the third position holders are from the Kashmir Division.
However, 287 students, including 156 from government schools across Jammu and Kashmir, shared the first 10 positions.
