Srinagar: To enhance leadership competencies among heads of elementary institutions, the JK-SCERT conducted capacity-building programme for 50 key resource persons across the Kashmir.
These 50 Key Resource Persons will subsequently train 5,000 heads of elementary institutions in all districts of the Kashmir Valley through the District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs).
Speaking to the Rising Kashmir, Reyaz Ahmad Dar, Coordinator at the School Leadership Academy (SLA) at SCERT-Kashmir Division, said that the SLA, in collaboration with the Divisional Nodal Officer for the Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Mission, trained 50 Key Resource Persons at the SCERT Divisional Office in Kashmir.
“During this seven-day capacity-building training program, the key Resource Persons from the Kashmir division were equipped with the necessary skills to train 5,000 heads of institutions through the DIETs in the region,” Dar explained. Roshan Lal, Joint Director of SCERT-JK Kashmir Division, emphasised that the initiative aims not only to train administrators but also to develop transformational leaders who will significantly influence the educational landscape leading to the achievement of student learning outcomes.
“This initiative is poised to benefit over 5,000 heads of institutions across 10 districts in the Kashmir Division, representing a crucial advancement in the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020 framework,” he remarked.
