J&K Police reviews security arrangements for annual Shri Machail Mata Yatra 2024

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban Range, Shridhar Patil-IPS, visited Kishtwar District to oversee the security preparations for the ongoing Annual Shri Machail Mata Yatra 2024.

He was accompanied by DC Kishtwar Dr. Divansh Yadav-IAS and SSP Kishtwar Sh. Abdul Qayoom-JKPS, DIG Shridhar Patil inspected Paddar, Kishtwar, where he was presented with a guard of honor at P/S Atholi Paddar.

Prior to his visit to Atholi Paddar, the DIG reviewed the functioning of PC Kuleed. A significant part of the visit included a meeting at TRC Gulabgarh, attended by the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, SSP Kishtwar, CO Army 17 RR, CO CRPF 52 Bn, and other stakeholders.

During the meeting, SSP Kishtwar Abdul Qayoom provided a brief presentation, and the focus was on ensuring the security and safety of the large number of devotees expected to participate in the pilgrimage.

The DIG emphasized the need for increased patrolling and vigilance against anti-national and anti-social elements.

He stressed the importance of coordination and synergy among various security agencies to maintain peace in the district.

Following the meeting, DIG Shridhar Patil, along with other senior officers, visited the Shri Machail Mata Temple at Machail to review its security arrangements and paid obeisance.
