Jammu, Jan 18: The Bharatiya Janata Party’s Jammu and Kashmir unit has been instructed by the party high command to initiate outreach efforts after ‘Pran Partishtha’ of Lord Ram at Ayodhya on January 22.
The goal is to connect with people and raise awareness about the various welfare schemes implemented by the Modi government.
The directions were given by the BJP National General Secretary, Sunil Bansal, during an extended Core Group meeting with the J&K BJP leaders at Jammu on Thursday.
Bansal conveyed the importance of reaching out to the public and highlighting the benefits of Centrally-sponsored welfare schemes. The directive comes ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, prompting an extension of the core group from 12 to 24 members.
There is a need to form teams at the booth level to ensure that every voter is informed about the welfare schemes initiated by the Modi government, former minister and BJP General Secretary, Devender Manyal, quoted Bansal as saying.
