Srinagar, Jul 08: Reaffirming its commitment to people’s well-being and healthcare infrastructure in the region, J&K Bank Monday provided a life-support ambulance to Government Medical College (Udhampur) as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative aimed at strengthening emergency medical services in Jammu Division.A statement issued here said that in a brief ceremony held within the college premises, Bank’s Zonal Head (Udhampur) Vinay Gupta handed over the key of the fully-equipped ambulance to the Principal GMC (Udhampur) Dr. Parmod Kalsotra in the presence of MLA (Udhampur West) Pawan Kumar Gupta, Deputy Commissioner (Udhampur) Sonali Rai, Medical Superintendent Dr. Sanjeev Gupta, along with other senior functionaries from both the Bank and the Medical College.Commending the Bank’s initiative, MLA (Udhampur West) Pawan Kumar Gupta said: “This timely contribution by J&K Bank is a welcome step that will go a long way in enhancing the emergency response capacity of GMC Udhampur. I appreciate the Bank’s continuous efforts in supporting public healthcare and other vital sectors.”Principal GMC Udhampur Dr. Parmod Kalsotra echoed the sentiment, stating: “We are grateful to J&K Bank for this generous gesture. The ambulance will significantly improve our ability to provide swift medical assistance, especially in critical situations.” Speaking on the occasion, Zonal Head (Udhampur) Vinay Gupta said: “At J&K Bank, we believe in contributing meaningfully to the societies we serve. Supporting the healthcare infrastructure, particularly life-saving equipment, remains a priority under our CSR programme.”
