BJP plans 5 rallies of PM Modi, 4 of Amit Shah
Inaugurates 44 offices across Jammu region virtually
JAMMU, Aug 12: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has ramped up its election campaign in Jammu and Kashmir by opening 44 election offices across the Jammu Province, including one for the Kashmir Displaced Persons (KPs). The offices were inaugurated virtually by J&K BJP President Ravinder Raina.
In a significant move, the BJP has also outlined plans for nine major election rallies in the Union Territory. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to lead five rallies, while Union Home Minister Amit Shah will spearhead four rallies.
According to party sources, these rallies are strategically designed to cover 2-3 adjoining Assembly constituencies each.
The plan for these rallies has been finalized, and a request for approval will soon be sent to the BJP high command.
This strategic expansion comes ahead of the Assembly elections, with the BJP also set to open election offices in the Kashmir region after August 15. The move follows a statement by Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar, who recently confirmed that a state-level review for holding the Assembly elections has been completed. A final decision on the election schedule will be made after evaluating security and force requirements.
