Jammu, Jan 18: The office bearers of J&K Amateur Fencing Association Saturday met Sports Minister Satish Sharma and complimented him for his wholehearted and exemplary efforts in development of Sports in JKUT.
The office bearers apprised Satish Sharma about the excellent role by the Association in collaboration with J&K Sports Council for last 30 years in propagation and promotion of Fencing sport in Jammu and Kashmir due to which many fencers have brought laurels for J&KUT both at national and international level. It was further brought to the notice of Minister that Fencing is one of the leading medal winning sports at national and international levels in Jammu and Kashmir. The minister assured all possible help and support to J&K Amateur Fencing Association and sort out any problem and issue being faced by the Association. The office bearers who were present in the meeting were MJ Sharma, founder president and patron-in-chief, Mr. Bhanu Vijay Sharma, Hony. General Secretary and Sanjay Gupta.
