J&K admin approves monthly remuneration boost for MGNREGA staff

Srinagar, Jan 30: In a significant move, the Jammu and Kashmir Administration has granted approval for the enhancement of the monthly remuneration for supporting staff under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA).
The decision fulfills a longstanding demand which will bring relief to approximately 4000 employees.
“Enhancement of monthly remuneration of MGNREGA supporting staff has been approved thereby fulfilling their long pending demand. The move will benefit around 4000 employees. J&K Admin is committed to the well-being of all the staff and their families”, Office of Lieutenant Governor Jammu and Kashmir posted on its official handle on “X”.
